Hey,
The new Green Series is live. Men's shorts. Full dataset breakdown by category.
Here's what I found:
Vuori Kore shorts are running at 176% in-season STR. Arc'teryx at 107%. Rhoback golf shorts at 249%, though supply is thin enough that number can swing. Adidas 365 golf at 163% with a $23 ASP is a straight volume play that almost nobody is making.
The casual category is mostly noise: J.Crew, Gap, standard Banana Republic. But inside the noise, Marine Layer is running at 81% STR and Todd Snyder chino cuts are at 94%. Both of them are priced wrong at the rack, consistently.
Workwear is the most undervalued category in the video. Filson at 83% STR and $41 ASP. Carhartt WIP at 60%+ versus standard Carhartt at 28 to 35%. Same brand on the tag, completely different number.
I pulled this in March. Peak season is June through August. That sourcing window is open right now.
The full dataset, every brand from the video with STR, ASP, and Terapeak lift multipliers, is right here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aCN9r8cN7Umna-hFidCbTNz5AeYDGrvB1vgQlRbuc48/edit?usp=sharing
One more thing. If you want to run numbers like this at the rack in real time, without pulling Terapeak manually, that's exactly what BrandScout does. You photograph the brand tag, it returns STR, ASP, and eBay search strings on the spot. Free tier available. brandscoutapp.com
